Dangerous driving, known as reckless driving in the US, can be defined as “driving with no regard for the safety and well-being of others.”

Criteria for the Criminal Code offence of Dangerous Driving:

  • The accused drives a motor vehicle in a way that is dangerous to the public
  • Including the nature, condition and use of the place where the incident occurs
  • The amount of traffic present at the time or that might be expected
